Our group heads up Fri. August 8th. I took out a home equity loan for gas & Gulp Leeches & minnows. I have my best "perch jerkin" rods re-spooled & ready. Hoping for a great week. Really this trip is almost paid for by hitting a Royal Flush in Hayward, WI on a Bonus VP machine - got lucky for once.

perch jerkin, hmmm . will you please tell me where you find jumbos this time of year. i've asked matt , but, he doesn't know. i know they are deep, but i can't find a hole where they are laying this my 19th year at crawfords and all i've ever been able to get is a stray jumbo now and then. with the 4 limit on eyes it would be nice to get a bunch of jumbos!!!

Sorry LOC "perch jerkin" is a term Matt has used to refer to some of the other camps so called guides. He said they aren't guides they're just perch jerkers. We are like you, pick up a stray jumbo perch once in awhile.

About time you got "lucky", now if only it will carry over to on the water lucky. Give the fish some Gulp bait for me and send some pics.

Will do that Big Possum. I'm still trying to figure our what length to cut the fuses for the dynamite. If I cut them too short it won't get down to where the big one are. I'm just kidding but I was with my Grandad when I was a kid in Kentucky running his trout lines on the Ohio River. When we got to the pier there were police there looking at a boat that had a hole in the bottom with pieces of fingers in the bottom. Yuck! Fuse must have been to short!
